Donnie Carroll - Children's Minister

Donnie came to Southern Hills in 2003 as the Minister of Involvement and Small Groups. A year later he transitioned to his present role as Children and Family Minister. He is married to Lisa Jo, who teaches at the Kenley School. They have seven children. Amber Joy is a traveling nurse in California, Jon is in England, Geoff and Caryn are students at ACU, and Keith, Kevin, and Anne are students in the AISD.

Donnie is responsible for all ministries that involve our children. He sees his role as walking alongside parents, instilling the heart of God in the hearts of children, nurturing them in the Christian faith. He says “I want to see our children and families passionate for God, loving Him with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength and loving people!”

That everyday is new with fresh challenges and opportunities. It’s a great ride!
