WATS Day

WATS Day 2008 will be remembered as a chilly, wet, wonderful day. We began the day by singing "It's Gonna Rain"--which it did, until early afternoon. Some work teams decided to postpone their service until better weather arrived (see below); others were able to scrape, clean, mow, install, fix, and even paint! Most importantly, people in our community were shown the love of Jesus.

April 27, 2008 marked the 4th consecutive year Southern Hills members participated in We Are The Sermon (WATS) Day, an opportunity for our church to worship God by providing works-of-service to people in our community living in difficult situations. Each year, the goal of WATS Day is to let our actions and attitudes speak as we bless members of our community through yard work, house painting, fence building, tree trimming, and much more.
