On April 25, Southern Hills members joined other Christians from Hillcrest and Westgate Churches of Christ and Pioneer Baptist Church in nearly 100 projects all over Abilene and Taylor County. These projects included yard work, trash collection and house repair and painting. (WATS Day has become one of the busiest days of the year for the Environmental Recycling Center as project crews haul off trash and debris.) Others crews were involved in World Bible School and baking cookies and making greeting cards for shut-ins. *Click the image below to view pictures from WATS Day. WATS Day involves much more than deploying teams on a Sunday afternoon. Many hours of preparation are required for projects to take place. Thanks to the WATS committee and team leaders are very much in order.
“You are the light of the world...Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” (Matt. 5:14) May the folks of Abilene glorify our Father through our service!
